Press Release, The Friends of Tall Pines State Preserve
The Friends of Tall Pines State Preserve are pleased to announce the celebration of the 10th Anniversary of Service to Tall Pines, Sunday, September 27, at 10 a.m. at the Tall Pines State Preserve, Bark Bridge Road and Indian Trail, Wenonah.
Highlighting the event will be the formal dedication of two new information kiosks at Tall Pines, and the opportunity to express appreciation to Scout Noah Kizer of Mantua Troop 7083, and his Scout team, who designed and built the kiosk as Noah’s Eagle Scout project.
Following the ceremony, the Friends will conduct a guided nature walk in the park to view the early fall wildflowers, butterflies, birds and the many sights and sounds of nature — and to welcome autumn to Tall Pines.
Please join the FOTP for the celebration — be part of the dedication and join in the nature walk. For the safety of all, face coverings and safe social distancing are required.
For those unable to attend, the dedication ceremony will be live streamed. To view it and become a virtual participant in this event, log onto the Friends of Tall Pines Preserve Facebook page
The rain date is Sunday, Oct. 4 at 10 a.m.
