Franklin Township – On Monday a group of several dozen Black Lives Matter protesters and a handful of counter protesters got into a verbal confrontation during a march on Delsea Drive.
Videos of the counter protesters show a man yelling, “You don’t comply, this is what happens,” and, “It’s his own fault; That’s why he’s dead,” at protesters as a man is seen kneeling on top of another man’s neck in a similar manner to the way George Floyd was killed by a Minneapolis police officer.
The counter protesters appeared to have choreographed the act. They’re seen on video quickly getting into position, one man laying down flat on his stomach and the other kneeling on top of his neck as the protester’s chanting “black lives matter” approach.
The counter protesters are seen in photographs standing in front of an American flag, a Trump flag and a “thin blue line” flag, which symbolizes support and solidarity with police.
The Franklin Township Police Department and Gloucester County Sheriff’s were on scene, blocking roadways, directing traffic diversions and driving along side and behind the Black Lives Matter protesters as they marched down the middle of the roadway.
The march began at approximately 3 p.m. Bewildered motorists were seen pulled over on the side of the road and making U-turns in local businesses as the march began and police shutdown the roadways.
